Saudi demotes foreign minister, Abdel al Jubeir

Saudi Arabia's King Salman has already appointed a new foreign minister as part of a major cabinet shakeup, according to Saudi state media. A royal decree named Ibrahim al-Assaf as new foreign minister, demoting outgoing chief diplomat Adel al-Jubeir to the position of minister of state for foreign affairs. FG Approves Four New Private Universities In Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Kaduna

The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday in Abuja approved the establishment of four new private universities in Kaduna, Oyo, Ogun and Osun States. The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, confirmed this when he briefed State House correspondents at the end of the first meeting of the council in 2019.
